Vodafone is suffering a nationwide outage of its 4G mobile community, with end users throughout Australia unable to access cell facts and voice services.
Consumers started complaining of service difficulties in all significant cities all-around 11:00am AEST on Friday.
Ookla’s Downdector service shows spikes in outage stories in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.
Some buyers reported that their service was constrained to only 3G, with other folks reported having no reception at all.
Vodafone has confirmed the difficulties, which it explained are impacting 4G cell services and causing facts services to revert to 3G.
“We are knowledgeable of an problem impacting 4G services nationwide,” a spokesperson informed iTnews in a statement.
“Data services may possibly be slipping back to 3G intermittently, causing congestion and slower speeds for buyers.
“We are doing the job to resolve this problem as before long as achievable. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank buyers for their tolerance.”
By 1:10pm, Vodafone explained it experienced identified the problem causing disruption to 4G services, but has not indicated when services are envisioned to return to usual.
