DTA plots data centre panel overhaul – Hardware – Networking – Software

The framework was introduced in March to handle provide chain and ownership pitfalls by separating web hosting suppliers into two camps: ‘certified strategic’ and ‘certified assured’.

Qualified strategic is the highest level of assurance under the framework, and necessitates suppliers to let the authorities to specify ownership and management circumstances.

Only 6 info centre suppliers have been qualified to date: Canberra Info Centres, Macquarie Telecom, Australian Info Centres, NEXTDC, Equinix and Fujitsu.
